Sleep, Ghrelin, Leptin, Staying Focused!!!!
Sleep
It is nourishing and restoritive can completely throw off in all areas of your life. This time is when your brain and body are repaired and recharge. It is vital to to managing stress levels as well as hunger hormones. Proper sleep amounts contribute to improving mood, energy levels, ability to properly concentrate drives our will power to get through the changes to a permanent healthy life style.
Ghrelin and Leptin
Ghrelin is the hunger hormone that tells your brain its time to eat! Leptin is the satiation hormone that tells our body we are full and satisfied. Its know as the appetite supressor. When your deprived of sleep your body increases the ghrelin and the leptin decreases. This hormonal imbalance causes problems and your metabolism slows down as well. So your not effectively burning off the food your eating.
Stay Focused
Best way to do this is have a plan. Determine your intermittent plan how many hours you are fasting and when those hours are and when your eating hours are. Is fasting going to be an every day thing? Next is determining what your going to eat during your hours of eating this is critical. Do you have a specific health plan regime your following or just a basic clean eating plan?
This is where I'm not winning at this point in the game. I am easily swayed to eat sugar especially before and during my monthly woman cycle. I'm focusing on progress rather than being perfect. Keeping my mind open to learn and trying new things to help. One way I am learning is finding all the books I can about intermittent fasting and studying them. Talking to others who have followed this plan and support from my doctor.
