Weight-loss Journey continued

Its been a longtime since I posted last. I keep on trekking along fighting sugar addiction, fatigue, & low energy. What a battle brain fog is.  Trying new products and seeing it they work in the smallest amount. I'm seeing that endurance and motivation are ๐Ÿ”‘. I look at my children and see that my battle with my health are affecting them. My brain fog memory issues at least the way I complain or not about them do rub off on them.  My mindset affects the trajectory of where my weight heads. I try to remain positive. My self esteem has been affected negatively by remaining so over weight. I'm finding that my lack of thyroid makes my over all health suck a crazy challenge, I have more health issues cropping up because of being on synthetic ๐Ÿ’Š. The hair loss, how easily it tangles, the texture of my hair, and how much quicker it is going gray. I’m back on the hunt for a good quality but affordable ๐Ÿงด & conditioner.  I've been eyeing a product by Goli; they have differ...

Intermittent Fasting first month and Managing Stress

Image
It's been a good first week. When I started this I was at 214lbs. I did not do other measurements because of laziness. I do know that things have changed a bit for the better. I'm not a full week into this and I am already seeing NSV (non scale victories). I put on my swim suit August 15th to go to the beach while in Florida with my dad and family. My bottoms were significantly looser than last month when I wore them at great wolf lodge. My swim top is also lose compared to when I bought it before vacation last month as well. I didn't feel any popping seams this time around. I was meant to do this program because even though its fasting I haven't had any issues except a little bit of headache on like day 3 and 4 which was mitigated by drinking more water. Another NSV is some better sleep without my snaps for like three days. I'm happy so far and will continue forward. One thing will be nice to see is some blood lab work. Water is my becoming...

Intermittent Fasting and Good and Bad stress!

Image
I am at the end of my unraveling rope. I have been diagnosed with diabetes. My doctor went out on maternity leave at the end of the year. I saw an uncaring provider in place of my normal provider. I then got so busy with life, school, and being a mother. It was so busy I became so mean to myself that I put care for me and my health on the farthest burner it might of well of been on someone else's stove in another country far from here.      After a lot of research, pondering, and then discussing with my doctor's support. I will be starting intermittent fasting. I figure I would journal about it because its going to be a journey. I joined a workshop that is directed by the leader of the Gratitude challenge and its on self compassion. I know this is something I lack and would love all the help in the world with.      I checked out a book of basics of intermittent fasting!          One thing that st...

Weightloss Restart by Velovita snaps

Image
So I was doing super well on Optavia for quite a while. Life happened my Health Coach started having stomach issues so she had to quit that program and I was left to manage by myself. I had no help and Covid-19 hit so I gained all the weight I lost back. One year ago when we were quarantined and not able to live normal life. Meanwhile I also noticed I was not getting great sleep no matter what I really did. I was coming to the realization my thyroid medication needed to be changed. In January 2021 I decided to try the new program Mindy switched to. I was introduced to Arbonne I did alright with the program but no real lasting results. Another friend then introduced to me VELOVITA snaps. I have been consistent with them and love how I feel when I take them. I don't have to deal with massive mood swings and the catastrophy that ensues. I don't over think to the point of anxiety issues.  BRAN (breyn)   BENEFITS Boosts Mental Energy ‡ Improves Focus & A...

Catalyst to Losing Weight What's a catalyst?  Dictionary.com says a substance that increase the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change. and a person or thing that precipitates an event. In this weightloss program the thing that precipitates losing weight is what Dr. Wayne Anderson in his book Dr A's Habits of Health defines as "Medically formulated PCMR's are a powerful tool as part of a comprehensive approach to healthy eating."  (Anderson, 2008, pg 72). Vegetable chili with a few low fat laughing cow cheese wedges. PCMR (Portion Controlled Meal Replacements) Dr A goes on and gives a list of: Benefits of  PCMR's; They're cost effective. "because you'll be replacing most of your groceries and snacks with PCMR's, you'll be spending the same or even less than you are now on food." (Anderson, 2008, pg 74). They offer plenty of variety . "Today's PCMR's help you fight t...

Blueprint for Safe Rapid Weightloss "No matter how much we abuse our bodies if we stop the assault of unhealthly habits and put our ourselves back into position to function as we were designed, we can tap inot the body's inherent capacity to heal itself." (Anderson, 2008, pg 59). "The fat around your middle is a symptom of an imbalance between your energy intake and energy output, with your intake set higher than it should be."(Anderson, 2008, pg 60). Key to Healthy Weight Loss   "Whats the key to successful mastery of both weightloss and long term health? There are two main components:  The ability to master the amount of fuel you take in & the quality of tha fuel." (Anderson, 2008, pg 64). "Portion size is key. When you eat healthy foods- that is, low glycemic carbohydrates, healthy fats, and high quality protein- in smaller portions than your body is used to, a magical tranformation occurs. Your body turns to Plan B and begin...
